BIM 360 Model Coordination integration

Quickly identify and resolve costly constructability issues.

Updated IFC file reader

Use the same open source code from Revit to handle IFC files, with added hierarchy, Pset, and data enhancements.

Detect clashes and coordinate models

View clashes in context to help find and resolve conflicts. Only available in Navisworks Manage.

Supports 60+ file formats

Open and work with a variety of CAD file formats in one comprehensive application.

BIM coordination with Autodesk products

Open Navisworks files within AutoCAD, Revit, and ReCap.

Navisworks + Point Layout

Automatically add layout points to coordinated models and import, export, and compare directly in Navisworks.

Model Review

Aggregate data into a single model

Combine design and construction data into a singular model.

Model simulation and animation

Link animated model objects to your construction schedules for high-quality project simulations.

Whole-team project review

Bring together data created by multidisciplinary teams to explore and review complex models in real time.

Integrated quantification takeoff

Measure lines, areas, and counts with 2D and 3D takeoff rather than carrying out manual calculations.

Quantification from PDF sheets

Trace existing geometry on a 2D PDF worksheet, such as a floorplan, to create takeoffs automatically.

Navisworks + Assemble

Bring models from Navisworks into Assemble for use in estimating, scheduling, or other workflows

A Simple 3D viewing Solution

If you need a quick and easy solution to view 3D models, this tool will do the job. If you need to add files in or merge them, you will need a paid version, but for viewing models you can use the free version.

Navisworks is very easy to use and to learn. Even with the free version, you can still gather information from the model. Whether you are looking for measurements or product data, the data is there.

The free version cannot append new files. When using manage, the clash detection system can be quite confusing and time-consuming to generate a clean list of clashes.

While working in bim industry for around 2 year i found it very useful when it comes to coordinate

For those who are looking for navisworks I would recommend them to go through the software as it is very easy to use and understand also a vital tool when it comes to coordination aspect.

The best thing I like about Navis is that we can create search set and selection set. Which I found it very useful also it provide option of section creation which is very useful while doing clash coordination.also it has walkway option through which we can review and go through the whole building.

The one thing I dislike about naviswork is that it doesn't have facility to go to 3d overview of particular area by just clicking on the 2d floor plan like revitzo software.where we can go through the 3d view of the particular area by just clicking on the 2d floor plan.

This thing naviswork should add.

Best software for clash detection and collaboration process.

In our business, we are using Navisworks generally for clash detection and collaboration purpose. We append all the necessary files before starting a clash run. It locates all the location where there is any clash.

Clash detection is the best part on Navisworks. Also, It has Quantification process and Clash report generation. With clash detection we can also measure the needed dimensions to remove that clash. Also, we can mark a suggestion with as a viewpoint for further reference.

Sometimes when we are appending a file, Navisworks can place the file at another point. So we have to be careful about Coordinates while placing any file. Also, Navisworks can sometimes show more clashes for a single clash that is an immense dislike because it increases the number of clashes.

Best 3D software for class detection

If you are looking to view a good 3D view of your model and planning to solve the clashes between models , Navisworks is the best software to assist you .

It has the clash detection feature which allows us to find clashes between services

It is very user friendly means no problem is there is any new person want to learn.

Sometimes while loading the IFC file in it , it takes too much time to load and sometimes file get fatal.

Naviswork is one of the best 3D visualization tools in all the different 3D formats.

We have used it primarily for conflict detection, and that is where the software excels. provides us with two methods for performing this task, this reduces the amount of time to work with collision detection

Because it allows you to open and combine 3D models, navigate them in real-time and review the model using a set of tools that includes commenting, redlining, point of view, and measurements, it generates a wide variety of add-ons to optimize the design

Complicated to learn and costly. In addition, being a file-based methodology, it has the disadvantage that access to data is unlimited. The tools offered to manage collisions are limited.
