Things is a delightful and easy to use task manager. You’ll get started in no time, entering and organizing your to-dos. You’ll discover how Things truly makes you more productive. And soon you’ll realize that achieving your goals comes more naturally — one to-do at a time.

Features

Things Cloud Things Cloud stores your to-dos and keeps them updated on your Mac, iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. All you have to do is turn it on in Things’ Preferences.
After that, every change you make is immediately sent to Things Cloud, which then sends it to your other devices. Everything is automatic, so you never have to worry about syncing again. Things Cloud is fast, reliable, and best of all, free.
Easy from the start You shouldn’t have to read a manual to become more productive.* Or try to understand complex inspector windows. After all, isn’t the whole point of a task manager to make your life easier?
With Things, everything flows naturally. Out of the box, it comes with lists that are ready for your to-dos:
What do you want to do Today? What are the tasks you want to get to Next? And what do you want to Schedule for a later day? Everything has its place.
When entering new to-dos you can quickly add all important information: enter the title, notes, and due date. You can also tag to-dos so you can find them more easily later. Things remembers everything so you don’t have to.
Quick Entry Life is busy. It’s easy to forget something when you don’t write it down immediately. Things lets you enter new to-dos the moment they hit you.
No matter what application you’re in, simply press a system-wide keyboard shortcut, and the Quick Entry window appears. Enter your to-do, save it, and get back to work. The next time you open Things, the to-do waits for you in the Inbox - you’ll never forget anything important again.
Even quicker with Autofill You’re reading an email from a friend and she wants you to buy some things for the party. Or your boss wants you to prepare a presentation.
Just select the relevant portion of the email, press the Autofill shortcut, and the Quick Entry window appears. But this time, it has the selected text already added to the notes, together with a link to the original email - it’s magical. This also works from many other applications like Safari, Messages, Pages, Finder, etc.
Quick Entry with Autofill It’s happened before — you want to do something important, but there’s just no time for it. Not today. So you decide to do it next week, or in two weeks. But when the time comes, you have either forgotten about it, or you remember too late.
With Things, all to-dos that are scheduled for today automatically appear at the top of your Today list, together with all to-dos that have become due. We call it Daily Review. It’s a way for you to easily review which tasks you want to start today, and which ones you want to postpone until later.
Make it yours Your life is unique — so it’s no surprise that after just a little while, your Things looks like no one else’s. Do you want to write a song, plan the next big project, improve the house, or write a thesis? Whatever it is, you can customize Things to make it perfect for your needs.
Every project you add to Things automatically shows up in the sidebar so you can access it at any time. And you can hide projects you’re currently not working on by putting them in Someday - this keeps your sidebar clean and lets you focus on the things that are relevant now.
Add Areas to the sidebar so you can group projects and to-dos together: “Family”, “Work”, “Hobby”, “Health”, or whatever makes sense to you. Review these areas to make sure you keep on top of your responsibilities.
Add tags to your to-dos for added context - use “Home” for all to-dos you want to do at home, “Errands” for things you need to buy, “High” for very important tasks, and so on. Then filter any list by these tags to narrow it down. Whichever tags you decide to create, Things makes it easy to find the to-dos that are most relevant to you at any given time.
Award winning task management. Things’ polished user interface and attention to detail make it a prime example of beautiful application design. That’s why it won an Apple Design Award. And a Macworld Best of Show Award. And a Macworld Editors’ Choice Award.
Things takes full advantage of the latest OS X technologies. It has beautiful Retina graphics, a full screen mode, Reminders integration, AppleScript support, and much more. It’s hard to find anything quite like it.
