Keep your file size small by using mostly 3d components!
Make a favorites objects for streamline usage and quick drawing
Make sure you develop a good template with your must haves!
When used properly it is extremely efficient in product construction documents quickly since all of the drawings such as elevations, plans and sections are produced straight from the floor plans and 3d model.
Pros
I love that you are able to "ghost" over your working drawing any other drawing in the file, even images and be able to change the setting of those drawings per view. It is very good with bring CAD drawings into the platform and excellent at 2d drafting and 3d modeling unlike Revit which falls behind on the drawing side.
I enjoy as well the teamwork capabilities that ArchiCAD has. I think they are much better and streamlined than Revit. ArchiCAD allows you to communicate and manage a job through its platform instead of resorting to another program. The way that the program handles pages and publishing is absolutely awesome. Being able to set different drawing sets for different purposes such as contractor vs client sets is a must!! This is something i have not seen in Revit yet.
Cons
I would like the 3d capabilities to be developed more. There are a lot of good things like the custom profile tool which is excellent, however it needs more customization through all 3D drawing objects (i.e. columns, beams, slabs and roof objects).
