Microsoft Excel Review
You don't have to be an expert to take advantage of Excel, however, you need to manage some basic tools to work with these spreadsheets with time savings, simplifying some easy-to-learn functions that will make a difference, such as the following:
Pros
Microsoft Excel is one of the programs belonging to Microsoft Office, whose functions range from creating spreadsheets and tables that allow calculations and data analysis, to graphical tools, dynamic tables and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for applications.
These Excel spreadsheets work for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.
In my experience, I use Excel as an application to perform financial and accounting tasks, with formulas, graphs and database of customers, businesses or companies.
With the spreadsheet, I perform mathematical operations and create number tables to perform operations and data analysis later in an efficient and fast, also allows me to organize the data, either numerical or text, in spreadsheets or spreadsheets, apply formats to see the data in contexts that help in decision-making, as well as sort the information the way I need it and I can search within the data I have entered.
Another function allowed by Excel, is to combine spreadsheets with the format of processed data with other platforms such as Microsoft Word, for preparation of technical and financial reports and Power Point for slide presentations with tables and graphs of summary results, directly with hyperlinks.
Cons
Files take up too much memory space, especially those that use macros and hyperlinks.
In order to learn all the uses of Excel, it is necessary to take specialized courses in the use of some tools that are difficult to learn by themselves.
When saving a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet in XML format, some features are lost, such as some audit trail arrows, graphs, sheets with macros and dialog.
